I recommend trimming all threads off the back (I know this is a rabbit hole of stress, do the best you can!) and give your top a good press. If your top fabrics are prewashed, prewash your baking and press. Backing should be 8” (minimum) larger than your top.

Thread is included in my longarming quote. I have several batting options that you can purchase, Dream Blend, Dream Cotton, and Dream Wool. If you love a specific batting, include it when you drop off/ship your quilt top.

This is a complicated question and varies depending on the time of year, size, and scope of the piece. In general, I run a 2-3 month backlog.

Custom/Heirloom quilting takes time. The creative process of designing a quilting plan takes almost as long as the actual quilting. You spend hours and months making your quilt top, I will not rush. Plan accordingly. I promise you, it is worth the wait. Anyone who claims they can quilt your top in a week or less is doing you a disservice.
